Cheryl Young

Cheryl was born in England but has called South Africa home for the last 50 years. With a lifelong passion for alternative healing therapies, her journey began in aromatherapy and reflexology before deepening into Tibetan Sound Therapy, training through the International School of Alternative Healing Methods & Sensory Perception in Germany.

She studied at the Academy of Metaphysics with Colleen Joy Page and went on to co-create the Aneera Centre, where she facilitated healing sessions and group work for over a decade, integrating hypnotherapy and meditation into her practice.

Cheryl alongside her daughter Tamarin, introduced South Africa’s first immersive sound therapy experience at the renowned Saxon Boutique Hotel & Spa – holding space for transformation in one of the country’s most prestigious wellness destinations.

Her expertise spans across Pranic Healing from basic to advanced levels, including psychotherapy, crystal healing, cosmetology and Arhatic Yoga Prep. She further expanded her knowledge and training into Crystal Singing Bowl Healing, continuing to integrate these learnings into her work and expanding her toolkit with practices that invite more awareness, ease and possibility into the healing process.

Known for her calm presence and deeply intuitive touch, Cheryl brings a grounded energy into every session – often blending mindful meditation with sound. Through GONGS, she creates healing experiences that are sacred, sensory and soul-deep.

Tamarin Young

Tamarin’s path has always been about connection – to self, to others, and to the healing resonance of sound. Born in South Africa, her journey took her abroad to the United Kingdom and the United States before she felt the call to return home and follow her heart into the world of alternative healing.

She trained at the Academy of Metaphysics with Colleen Joy Page and continued her studies in Hypnotherapy and Tibetan Sound Therapy, training through the International School of Alternative Healing Methods & Sensory Perception in Germany, eventually co-creating a family healing centre alongside her mother and grandmother – a rare three-generational space of wisdom, love, and deep care.

Over the past years, Tamarin has dedicated herself to sound therapy, holding space for individuals and groups to rest, release and realign.

Her love for spiritual growth continues to shape her path. She has trained in Pranic Healing from basic to advanced levels – including crystal work, psychotherapy, cosmetology and Arhatic Yoga Prep – and continues to expand her practice through Theta Healing. She further deepened her knowledge and training into Crystal Singing Bowl Healing and has studied Access Consciousness, incorporating its tools and questions to support greater awareness, ease, and possibility in her sessions.

Tamarin also carries a special love for working with children. As a certified Kids Mindfulness Coach, she offers weekly classes and workshops that blend playful, heart-centred practices to help little ones feel calm, confident and connected.

At the heart of all she does is the belief that healing is a journey of coming home to yourself. Through the vibrations of singing bowls, the stillness of mindfulness and the nurturing energy of family, Tamarin creates safe, loving spaces where people of all ages can find peace, balance and renewal.
